Impact content creation and narration

Impact content creation and narration

Extraordinary impact storytelling doesn’t just talk about impacts. It deepens and creates them. In communicating their sustainability efforts, our clients want to direct and inspire others to do – and to improve upon – what they themselves are doing. Sustainable development is a collective effort that can be most successful when people share ideas.

The fact that storytelling is innate to human nature and culture shows how powerful it is. Well-told stories can help to preserve fundamental values and shape the future even as – and because – they entertain and inform.

Good stories endure, travel far, and are often repeated. We are writers and creators, and we know how to turn good ideas into that kind of impactful content.
Impact Focus – our specialty content product
Although there are contexts appropriate for painting expansive narrative panoramas in broad strokes, we are convinced that impactful content must today zero in on specific ideas, projects, and solutions that readers, viewers, and listeners can readily grasp, absorb, and use. Meanwhile, focus should not be confused with superficiality. We identify, emphasize, and communicate the most important information.

Impact Focus, as exemplified in our BlueGreen Minute posts, consists of a concise and appealing social media post of approximately 300 words backed by an article with visual content and links.

Impact Focus
  • is information-rich, concise, sharply focused, and digestible.
  • is interesting and instantly appealing to the potential reader.
  • carries a meaningful and constructive message.
  • is persuasive while directing and inspiring action.
  • enables the reader easily to learn more with a click or two.

Impact storytelling
Whether you need the occasional blog or social media post, articles for a company newsletter or magazine, an SDGs report, or complete content for executing an annual sustainability communication plan, we can help you to identify the right stories to tell, find the best way to convey them, then produce that content to deliver on your strategy while maximizing audience appeal, reach, and impact.
Impact narration strategy, planning, and implementation
Your organization should cultivate its overarching narrative while executing an impact storytelling strategy in harmony with that narrative. Generally, the best way to implement that strategy will be to deliver purposefully designed, SDGs-relevant content in an intermittent but deliberate flow to stakeholders, news and social media, and pertinent segments of the general public
According to your needs and possibilities, we will work with you to devise a strategy and integrated plan for publishing selected impact content. This should consider content opportunities, timing, target audiences, and intended impacts. A typical planning period would be 12 months, but this might also be organized as a specific campaign or for a longer term.
Then, we will work with you to develop great content.

SDGs reporting

Successful SDGs reporting is both convincing and real. It must be integral to sustainability strategy and practice. Reporting also should fit the organization, its culture, and its products or services. According to your needs and vision, we will advise, design, write, publish, and promote your SDGs reporting.
As an investment analyst and socially responsible investment manager, Kirking has studied hundreds of sustainability and corporate social responsibility reports. Meanwhile, his firm, English Editorial Services, has been helping companies tell their social responsibility stories almost since CSR became a popular buzzword in business.
We can help you to decide what will work for you and what will not. A big organization contracting internationally to SDGs-conscious manufacturers will need something very different than does a small firm selling into a socially aware local market. Moreover, while some goods and services are environmentally friendly by their nature, others, although important and even vital, come with more sustainability challenges.
In any case, our credo is: Make it real. Make it honest.
We believe it is absolutely crucial to avoid greenwashing. The temptation to deceive is apparently great, but don’t put yourself and your organization onto that slippery slope. Fabrications and hyperbole will not fool an experienced observer for a minute or the general public for long.
The key is to connect reality with ambition through materiality and resources assessment, strategy, execution, measurement, evaluation, and feedback. We can help you with that together with communicating to your stakeholders.
